Certification refers to a confirmation by an independent third-party body that a product, process or system complies with the requirements of specific standardization documents/standards.
Α. Management system certification procedure:
- The business submits an application and sends the necessary documentation to the independent accredited body. The certifying body is selected by the business to be certified.
- A preliminary assessment is carried out (optional).
- An Initial Assessment Audit is performed (stage A and B).
- A certification decision is made (the certificate of compliance is valid for a three-year period).
- Supervisory inspections are carried out over the next two years.
- A reassessment inspection is carried out at the end of the 3rd year.
